Is Vertigo & Balance treatment right for you?
If you’re experiencing dizziness, a spinning sensation (vertigo), unsteadiness, or difficulty maintaining balance—especially with head movements or when changing positions—this treatment may be right for you. It’s especially helpful if your symptoms are due to inner ear dysfunction, cervical spine issues, or neurological imbalance. However, if you’re experiencing sudden severe vertigo with hearing loss, fainting, or stroke-like symptoms, emergency medical evaluation is recommended before manual care.
What is Vertigo & Balance treatment?
Vertigo and balance treatment includes a specialized, multi-disciplinary approach drawing from physical therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and osteopathic principles. We assess the root cause of your imbalance—whether it’s inner ear (vestibular), cervical spine, or proprioceptive dysfunction—and tailor treatment accordingly. Interventions may include canalith repositioning maneuvers (such as the Epley for BPPV), cervical mobilization, gaze stabilization exercises, and balance retraining.
What conditions does Vertigo & Balance treatment address?
This treatment is appropriate for:
- Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
- Cervicogenic dizziness (neck-related vertigo)
- Vestibular hypofunction or inner ear disorders
- Post-concussion dizziness and imbalance
- Age-related balance decline or fall risk
- Unsteadiness following illness or injury
Our goal is to restore your equilibrium, reduce the frequency and intensity of vertigo, and help you move confidently and safely in your environment.
