Ultrasound Therapy Treatments
Is Ultrasound Therapy treatment right for you?
Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves to stimulate deep tissue healing, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation. It’s not the same as diagnostic ultrasound. Contraindications include metal implants, pacemakers, or use over the abdomen in pregnancy.
What is Ultrasound Therapy treatment?
A small wand (transducer) is moved in circular motions over the treatment area with a special gel for 5–10 minutes. You may feel gentle warmth or nothing at all. It’s completely painless and often used with other therapies for deeper effect.
What conditions does Ultrasound Therapy treatment address?
Ultrasound is great for:
- Soft tissue injuries like tendonitis or bursitis
- Scar tissue and muscle tightness
- Frozen shoulder and rotator cuff injuries
- Chronic pain in joints like the knee, hip, or back
It promotes tissue repair and prepares muscles and fascia for movement or manual therapy.
