Who is Responsible

In most cases you will likely be entitled to receive free care to help get you healed from your injury. In some cases you may also be entitled to lost wages. We bill workers compensation insurance directly so that you don’t have to pay out of pocket for your treatment.

How Treatment Works

We recommend that the first thing you do after being injured on the job is seek immediate medical attention from an MD and have the extent of your injuries assessed. That doctor can then make the determination if chiropractic and rehabilitate services are the right direction for you to go with your treatment. If you are sore or stiff, you may also request a referral for care from the doctor.

Insurance Laws

Claim Process

For most people, filing a claim is simple.

  • Contact HR and file a claim form.
  • See a Medical Doctor.
  • Get a referral for Chiropractic.

Under a workman’s compensation claim you can see a chiropractor up to 6 times per referral with a maximum of 3 referrals or 18 visits. Medical expenses are billed directly to your employers insurance and there is no cost to you.

What you can expect:

  • We will help you to understand your rights and benefits under your insurance and bill them directly.
  • We will help you maintain the integrity of your claim and refer you to our network of lawyers and other medical professionals as needed.
  • We will always provide a thorough examination and do our best to address any issues you have.
  • We will establish a custom treatment plan designed to help you meet your goals and we will adjust it as you heal.
  • We will walk you through every step of your treatment so you understand what we are doing and why.

What we don’t do:

  • You will never be asked to pay for treatment.
  • We cannot file a claim for you.
  • We cannot do x-rays in our office or prescribe painkillers.
  • We cannot and do not offer legal advice about claims.

The Claim Process

In Oregon, you have the right to see a doctor of your choice; however, many workers compensation insurances prefer that you are treated at a managed care organization to reduce costs. To minimize the risk of being forced into a managed care organization, we recommend that you ask for a referral from your primary care. You can get up to 3 referrals or 18 visits total under your claim.
